Your main responsibilities

As the head of the unit, you will lead your employees in the daily work within the unit's various operational areas. Since the unit's mission is broad and the administrative support is limited, you will also participate in the operational work of processing cases.

In Skurup Municipality, efficient and legally secure processing is important, as is accessibility and professional treatment. As a leader, you have a clear drive to lead the authority unit into the future and work with the change processes this entails. Two important areas of development are enhancing our service to citizens and the local business community, as well as promoting digital development within the areas of responsibility. This requires a citizen-oriented and coaching leadership. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and create engagement through participation for your employees. You are service-oriented and have the ability to create results.

We would like you to have experience working in a politically governed organization.

This concept also includes insight and understanding of the democratic rules of the game and the collaboration processes in a municipality.

Who are you?

We assume that you:
• have some form of higher education or equivalent work experience that the employer assesses as comparable
• have several years of experience in planning and building or environmental and health protection.
• are well acquainted with the legislation that applies in at least one of these areas
• have experience in a leadership position with responsibility for finances, personnel, and operational results.
• have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and create engagement through participation within clear frameworks.

The Authority Unit currently consists of 10 employees who work with processing, advising, authority exercise, and service in the areas of environmental and health protection, building permits, alcohol, food, and tobacco. As the head of the Authority Unit, you are responsible for personnel, work environment, and budget.
